French inspired wines in the heart of Virginia Wine Country

About Lake Anna Winery

Lake Anna Winery is a family-owned and operated winery located in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, Virginia, USA. The winery is situated on a beautiful 75-acre estate, with scenic views of the surrounding countryside and Lake Anna.

Inspired after traveling through the French countryside, founder Bill Heidig noticed that the climate and soil conditions of the grape-growing regions were similar to those on his Spotsylvania farm, and an idea began to take root. Passing the business to the next generation at the turn of the century, brothers and co-owners, Jeff and Eric Heidig, alongside award-winning winemaker Graham Bell, continue in the French wine-making traditions.
